Every Time I Die Release "Revival Mode" Video

Magnificently brutal rockers Every Time I Die are unleashing an intensely moody and ambitious cinematic accompaniment to their powerful song “Revival Mode.” The track is from the band’s highly anticipated new album Ex Lives set for release this March 6th via Epitaph Records.

The group’s singer, Keith Buckley, offers the following on their new video:
"We worked with director Robert Schober who has done incredible work for Mastodon, Deftones, Metallica and now, us. The clip has a very ambiguously creepy David Lynch vibe to it and might be the first time we've never included a single one of our instruments in lieu of a story line that exists outside of us as members of a band. It's dark and weird and while not completely adhering thematically to the lyrics, it sets a larger, broader mood which marries the song perfectly."

Director Robert “Robo” Schober adds,"The video is a surrealist crime drama set on a lost highway...the story loosely interprets key phrases from the song...the guys were awesome and put up with many hours of freezing temperatures in the middle of the desert."

The band’s upcoming album Ex Lives was produced by renowned heavy rock producer Joe Barresi (The Melvins, Queens of the Stone Age, Parkway Drive) and offers an unrelenting onslaught of ingeniously composed and furiously executed cathartic hardcore. This is the band’s highly anticipated follow up to their 2009’s raging masterwork New Junk Aesthetic which Absolute Punk heralded as a musical “weapon of mass destruction.”

Every Time I Die are currently on tour and will spend the summer adding their patented punk infused metal to the annual Van’s Warped Tour.

Skip The Foreplay To Release Debut Album May 1st

The ground-breaking new band out of Montreal called Skip The Foreplay have perfected a unique and exhilarating new genre of music. The sound is a high energy raucous sound merging the heaviness of metal, earth-shaking hardcore breakdowns and the massive irresistible beats of electronic dance music that include elements of dub-step, hip-hop and house. As the group recently explained, “We play party music. It’s a mix of hard metal and dance music, not really hardcore, it’s more like party core.”

The band burst on to the scene, devastating audiences with their original and thoroughly brutal cover of the song “Champagne Showers” by the popular electro pop duo LMFAO. The Skip The Foreplay version retains all the seductive dance floor hooks – the band are fans of the original version, but adds a dose of serious heaviness including massive bass drops, breakdowns, and thunderous guitars.

Skip The Foreplay will be releasing their anticipated full length Epitaph debut, Nightlife, on May 01, 2012. Until then, the band is taking their wild live show on the road. They just completed their first ever tour, a massively successful stint supporting rising stars, Falling In Reverse. This summer the band will be appearing on the Vans Warped Tour. “Every time we play, the kids have gone absolutely crazy,” the band members say. “We haven’t had a bad reaction. People seemed to really love it and we’re incredibly stoked to keep touring.”

Rousing punk rock band The Menzingers are set to release their much anticipated Epitaph Records debut album On The Impossible Past this February 21st. The Scranton Pennsylvania band has been creating a serious buzz with their rousing and heartfelt sound built on powerful guitars and inspiring working class lyrics.

On The Impossible Past was recorded at Atlas Studios with longtime collaborators Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) and Justin Yates. The record retains all the raw vital energy of the band's earlier output, while adding some powerful new twists to the group’s sonic arsenal.

The group will be taking their absolutely stirring live show across the US in support of their new album. On the first leg of the tour the band will be joined by Midwestern rockers Cheap Girls and Ohio based outfit, The Sidekicks. For the second part, the Menzingers will do a handful of record release shows accompanied on select dates by Tiger's Jaw, The Front Bottoms, The Holy Mess and Luther.

Ronnie Radke Graces Alternative Press Cover

John K. Samson Premieres New Video For "Longitudinal Centre"

John K. Samson is the singer-songwriter for the acclaimed indie rock band The Weakerthans and he just released his highly anticipated full length solo album, Provincial, this January 24th via Epitaph-Anti Records.

Samson has also released an intensely evocative cinematic clip for the song “Longitudinal Centre” from Provincial. The footage provides a perfect visual companion to the poignant up-tempo track. To watch the video please go to IFC.com.

Provincial contains newly recorded versions of songs from Samson’s previous two EPs, City Route 85 and Provincial Road 222, alongside a collection of beautifully evocative new tracks. The songs traverse four routes woven into the prairie landscape of Manitoba, the Canadian province where Samson lives. They are hymns for the departed and rockers for the living, songs about dying villages, Icelandic longing, snowplows, broken glass, satellites, hockey skates, and staff room romances.

The Weakerthans were born out of the Winnipeg-punk-scene. The group’s breakthrough album Reconstruction Site and its celebrated follow up Reunion Tour deftly merged a melodic punk with Bob Dylan-Ray Davies lyrical insights, earning a wider fan base and establishing Samson as a songwriter of immense talent. Paste Magazine wrote of Reunion Tour, “If such a prize existed, it would be the leading candidate for this year’s Punk Pulitzer.”

Epitaph Founder Brett Gurewitz To Be Honored With Independent Spirit Award

NARM will hang out their prestigious Independent Spirit Award at the Music Biz 2012 convention this coming May. This year, the award goes to none other than Brett Gurewitz.
